3 Days to Halloween- 2016 10 Cloverfield Lane

Over the next 100 days, I will present one movie of significances in horror, suspense or thrillers for each year from 1919 to 2018. The next film presented here is 2016 Psychological horror film "10 Cloverfield Lane" starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead, John Goodman, John Gallagher and directed by Dan Trachtenberg.

10 Cloverfield Lane (2016)

A young woman survives a car wreck to find that she is in a bomb shelter with a strange older man who tells her a great disaster has happened and that it is dangerous to go outside. She must decide if he can be trusted or if she needs to escape from someone who may be mentally unstable and dangerous. 10 Cloverfield Lane started out as a script called The Cellar and had no tie to the Cloverfield Universe until JJ Abrams team was given the script and the movie was produced in secret as the companion  to the 2008 found footage classic. The movie was a big hit with fans and critics who praised the film for its suspense, great cast, and tension that built up toward a shocking conclusion.
