Following the crazy encounter with the giant octopus and super shark, the US Government has built a giant mechanical shark to combat any future mega sharks. Sure enough, another Meg emerges, and with the help of Emma MacNeil, a pair of Navy techs fight back but then face another possible problem with the AI controlling the mecha shark. Mega Shark vs. Mecha Shark is the third movie in the Mega Shark franchise and follows the exact blueprint, but this time, it is facing off with a super-sized mechanical shark. The film stars Christopher Judge and Elisabeth Rohm and features Debbie Gibson reprising her role in the first movie. As with all of these Asylum movies, you get crazy CGI fights, creative-looking sets, and plenty of scenes of Sydney, Australia. As these movies are nothing more than copycats of more giant shark movies, it is funny to see a franchise of films coming off a mockbuster film. While the films are silly, this one is mildly entertaining and will appeal more to kids who will enjoy seeing the robot shark misbehave.
