The Hearse (1980)
A recently divorced school teacher moves into the home of her deceased aunt for the summer and soon finds herself being plagued by mysterious events and a phantom hearse. The Hearse was directed by George Bowers and starred Trish Van Devere, Joseph Cotton, and David Gautreaux. The Hearse was released the same year as The Changeling, featuring Ms. Van Devere. While both films deal with the supernatural, The Hearse has a different plot and style from The Changeling and lacks the brutal scares of that movie. While the film does have a made-for-TV feel, the cast and setting make for a creepy story and pair well with The Changeling.
