Two English sisters and their boyfriends take a holiday in the countryside on a river barge but discover danger lurks when they stop at a remote village. The Barge People was released in 2018 and directed by Charlie Steeds. The film follows in the footprints of rural horror films such as The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Hills Have Eyes. Despite its flaws, the film does feature great creature design, gory kills, and a terrifying ending that will make you want to avoid the English countryside.
