A police officer in a lakeside community faces some challenges when her adopted daughter's criminal father is released from prison. She also learns that his hobby of dealing with dangerous animals puts their town at risk when shark attacks begin to occur. Starring Dolph Lundgren, Shark Lake looks like one of the many terrible shark films made by SyFy or The Asylum, but don't let that fool you, as this is a decent action thriller. While the film does look like one of the many "sharks in the lake" movies, the story focuses more on the struggle of a young mother trying to protect her adopted daughter from the recently paroled father. The film does suffer from poorly done shark CGI and some absurd kills, but overall this film is quite a surprise given the multitude of terrible shark movies that swarm the streaming clients.
