On his 18th birthday, a young man learns that he has inherited a farmhouse from a family he never knew he was a part of years before. Dead Souls is a 2012 supernatural horror film directed by Colin Theys, starring Jesse James, Magda Apanowicz & Bill Moseley. Dead Souls plays out like a more traditional ghost story than a modern horror film, with the frights being more subtle and relying more on the spooky setting and atmosphere. Jesse and Magda have great chemistry together, and it does help carry a film that tends to drag in parts. Nevertheless, dead Souls is a decent ghost thriller that will feel right at home as a made-for-TV movie.
